PRACTICAL & TACTICAL SELF-RELIANCE
1 boiling water
2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp. maple extract or to taste*
Pinch of salt
OPTIONAL: 2 tbsp corn syrup for added thickness and to help prevent crystallization. You can also add other flavor extracts like vanilla, butter flavor, coconut, or butter pecan.
*Some maple extracts are more concentrated than others. Mapleine is harder to find but VERY strong. Other maple extracts might take a full tablespoon to taste "strong" enough.
Boil water
Pour sugar into a heat-safe bowl
Pour boiling water over the sugar and add the rest of the ingredients. Stir until dissolved.
It can be stored on the shelf if you have extra.
